Poochy Power - Medium Dog Pack
Description
Includes 1x PP-01 module, 1x PP-02 busboard, 1x 16-to-16-Way IDC cable (30cm)
PP-01 is a 4HP power supply and a very good boy (yes he is). Adding to an open-source design by Mesotokyo, PP-01 delivers 1.5A of clean, stable current on the +12 and +5V rails and 0.5A (fully isolated) on the -12V rail. Two 16-pin headers are available to connect standard IDC/ribbon cables to your case’s busboards or flying bus-cables, whatever you prefer.
An internal 2.1mm DC power socket is also available to run multiple Poochy Power supplies off of a single 15-18V external powerbrick (less heat produced, current headroom = that of powerbrick, sold separately). A single Poochy Power module easily delivers enough power for small to medium cases (1x60HP to 2x84HP) and 2-3 running parallel is ideal for larger, more formidable systemsÂ
Also includes PP-01’s best friend, the PP-02! A common necessity for Eurorack systems, the humble passive bus-board remains a faithful and reliable companion despite decades of technological innovation. Flying bus-cables are serviceable in providing power to modules but are notorious for causing noise, intermittent issues and wearing & tearing easily.
The Bus-Bone is sturdy, headers are ~luxuriously~ spaced out and features noise-filtering in the form of 47 uF bulk electrolytic caps per power rail and 100 nF ceramic caps in parallel per header per rail. Hand-built, scrubbed and lovingly tested by Brisbane’s hirsute hound, Lefthandpooch.
